سردار سید کمال هادیانفر رئیس پلیس فتا: یکی از پرونده‌های پلیس مربوط به حمله‌ی سایبری به سیتی‌ بانک آمریکا است. این پرونده پس از اعلام آمریکائی‌ها از طریق شرکت امنیتی" RSA " که پشتیبان امنیتی بانک مذکور است، توسط پلیس فتا مورد پی‌جوئی قرار گرفت و مشخص شد که در این حمله سیستم‌های رایانه‌ای کاربران ایرانی بعنوان بات‌نت، مورد سوء استفاده قرار گرفته است. لذا IP های اصلی مهاجم در کشورهای ایتالیا و انگلستان توسط کارشناسان پلیس فتا شناسایی شد و نتایج تحقیقات به همراه مستندات به طرف خارجی اعلام شد. در مجموع مشخص شد که مجرمان حمله کننده به سیتی بانک آمریکا داخل ایران نبوده اند و کاربران ایرانی نه تنها نقشی در آن نداشتند، بلکه خود به نوعی از قربانیان این جرم سایبری بین‌المللی بوده‌اند.

General Hadianfar,Chief of Iranian Cyber Police says, RSA, a U.S.-based security company handling stuff for several American Banks including CitiBank has contacted Iran due to recent cyber attacks. He says we investigated the case and found Botnets with some victims located in Iran with C&C in Italy and UK.
The report is based on the investigation sent back to RSA. To our knowledge this is the first Cyber Cooperation between an American entity and a nation-state Iranian organization. Obama in a recent speech named Cyber Security as one of the most important national security priorities, while having his candidates for DoD and CIA on his back and he did not even mention Iranian Nuclear situation.

But the al-Qassam Cyber Fighters group, which many Internet experts and government officials believe is a front for the Iranian government, likely would have given up its battle because many financial institutions, including Downtown-based PNC Bank, improved their defenses, said Dave Aitel, CEO of Immunity Inc., a Miami Internet security firm.
“The bigger banks are just going to put money on it, and the problem will go away,” Aitel said. “The question the Iranians are asking themselves is: ‘Can this kind of disruption make a difference?' ”

and the answer would be : sure . essentially , this is how a gurilla war works and it is particularly effective on unarmed entities . they spend more money and gurillaz collect more zombies by installing simple rats in computers whose owners are paying the banks . good luck
